2022 Individual Self-Assignment

It is a series of four Installation art.The patterns are painted on white T-shirts with “smudged dyeing”.The difference between smudged dyeing and other tie-dyeing is that you never know where the pattern is actually distributed through the surface of the tie-dye.That’s mean If you only look at the surface and don’t understand it further, you won’t know everything and the inside story, and you won’t know the distribution of right and wrong, positive and negative, black and white.

Black OR White?
The appearance is all black, so this must have all black? Maybe after understanding it, you will find that white accounts for more than black.Are you sure that before you open it?

Negative OR Positive?
Are positive people all of a sudden positive? Do not untie the solid rubber band to understand the reason, will you know that there is actually a negative side after opening it?

The surface of things clearly shows that black is wrong, but is everything necessarily wrong? After understanding, you may find that things are not one-sided, maybe both wrong and right?

Do people with a smile on their face all the time must be cheerful? Maybe after understanding, you will see the pessimistic side distributed in different places,but have you ever noticed?
